1. General Provisions

1.1. This competition is organized by Woodara (hereinafter referred to as the “Organizer”).

1.2. Participation in this competition is completely free of charge at every stage. The Organizer does not require any registration fees or participation fees from entrants.

1.3. This competition is open to Indonesian citizens, including independent furniture designers, architects, students from relevant educational institutions, local artisans, and small design studios.

2. Publication & Marketing Rights

2.1. By submitting materials to the official competition website, including but not limited to sketches, technical drawings, 3D renderings, photographs, and concept descriptions, participants grant Woodara a non-exclusive, worldwide, perpetual, and royalty-free license to display, publish, share, and use such materials for promotional, marketing, publication, and communication purposes related to the competition and Woodara’s business activities.

2.2. The Organizer reserves the right to publish participants’ work through the official competition website, Woodara’s social media channels, catalogs, presentations, promotional materials, and media publications without any obligation to provide additional financial compensation. In all such cases, the Organizer will continue to credit the designer or studio as the creator and rightful owner of the work.

3. Intellectual Property & Winner Agreement

3.1. All copyrights and intellectual property rights related to submitted furniture concepts remain the property of the participant. The Organizer does not claim ownership of designs submitted by participants who are not selected as winners.

3.2. Mandatory requirement for finalists: The five (5) participants selected as winners by the jury panel must sign an official commercial agreement with Woodara within seven (7) calendar days of the competition results announcement. This agreement will take the form of an Intellectual Property Assignment & Royalty Agreement.

3.3. Under this agreement, winners grant Woodara exclusive rights to manufacture, market, and sell the winning furniture collections worldwide. In return, Woodara will provide the cash prizes outlined in the competition, guarantee ongoing royalty payments for every product sold, and ensure the designer’s name is credited on the product and all relevant marketing materials and official catalogs.

3.4. If a winner refuses or fails to sign the official agreement within the specified period, the Organizer reserves the right to revoke the winner’s status and transfer the position to the next highest-ranked participant based on the competition results.

4. Code of Conduct

4.1. All submitted works must be original creations owned by the participant. Plagiarism, copying protected furniture designs, or using renderings, images, or materials belonging to third parties without permission is strictly prohibited. Participants bear full personal and legal responsibility for any copyright claims or disputes raised by third parties.

4.2. Participants are expected to maintain professional conduct and show respect toward all members of the community within official WhatsApp groups, Telegram groups, and social media discussions related to the competition.

4.3. Insults, harassment, defamation, spam, unauthorized promotion of third-party services, or the distribution of misleading or false information regarding other participants, jury members, the Organizer, or Woodara are strictly prohibited.

5. Disqualification Without Prior Notice

5.1. The Organizer reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify participants and remove entries from the website and voting system without prior notice under the following circumstances:

• Evidence of plagiarism or strong grounds to question the originality and ownership of the submitted work.
• Violation of conduct rules, including actions that damage the reputation of the Organizer, jury members, or other participants.
• Attempts to manipulate public voting results, including but not limited to the use of bots, fake accounts, paid voting services, automated click networks, or any other methods intended to influence voting outcomes unfairly.
• Submission of false, incomplete, misleading, or falsified registration information, identity details, or contact information.

5.2. All decisions made by the Organizer regarding disqualification are final, binding, and not subject to dispute, appeal, or further review.

6. Personal Data Protection (UU PDP)

6.1. The collection, processing, storage, and use of participants’ personal data, including names, WhatsApp numbers, email addresses, city of residence, educational background, and employment information, are carried out in accordance with applicable Indonesian laws and regulations, including Personal Data Protection Law No. 27 of 2022.

6.2. The Organizer is committed to maintaining the confidentiality of all personal data received and will use it solely for competition administration, official communications, participant verification, voting verification, and protection against abuse and spam.

6.3. Participants’ personal data, including telephone numbers and email addresses, will not be shared, sold, or transferred to third parties unless required by law or requested by authorized government authorities.

6.4. Participants may request the deletion of their personal data from Woodara’s systems through an official request submitted to the support team. Such deletion will automatically result in withdrawal from the competition.
